Today is the 2nd day of the 4th test, England vs India. Day 2 commenced at 9:30 AM IST at Ranchi. England were batting at 302/7 at the end of Day 1. Joe Root was batting at 106 and Ollie Robinson at 31. Today they were able to add 45 more runs before Jadeja knocked over Robinson. After losing the 8th wicket on 347, England was able to post 353 in expense of all their wicket. India managed to get 219 in expense of wicket. Dhruv Jurel is still not out and only he can rescue India at this moment.

England 1st Innings :

Veteran Joe Root was batting at 106, today he adds 16 more runs but no other English batsmen were there to support him. He was playing like a wall but at the other end all down at 353. Joe Root was not out at 122*, there are were 10 boundaries in his innings. Ollie Robinson got out at 58, Ben Foakes scored 47, Zak Crawley 42 and Johnny Bairstow 38.

For India’s point of view Sir Ravindra Jadeja was great he started the morning with Ollie Robinson and took Shoaib Bashir and James Anderson at his 33rd over. He ends the game with 4 wicket and spent 67 runs in his 32.5 overs. Debutant Akash Deep got 3 wicket in expense of 83 runs in his 19 over spell. Mohammad Siraj got 2 wicket in expense of 78 runs in his 18 overs. Ravichandran Ashwin got 1 wicket.

India 1st Innings :

After conceding only 51 runs and restricting mighty England at 353 they were hopeful. But James Anderson thumped Rohit Sharma with an outstanding delivery. 41 years old Anderson was so sharp about his line & length. He was playing just like a old wine. India lost their first wicket at just 4 runs. After that Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal were able to make a partnership of 82.

After Shubman Gill got out, every next batsmen were felt so cheaply. No one was able to show some resistant with the bat. Yashasvi Jaiswal played a good knock, he scored 73 off 117 with 8 boundaries and 1 over boundaries. He was deceived by the low bounce of 2o years old Shoaib Bashir. India was at 131/4 before tea, but after the departure of Jaiswal they lost 2 quick wickets of Sarfaraz Khan and Ravichandran Ashwin.

England vs India Day 3 Scenario :

India trail by 134 runs with 3 wickets in hand to start the Day 3. Today rather than Jaiswal, Shubman Gill scored 38. Dhruv Jurel is batting at 30 of 58 and Kuldeep Yadav is giving companion to him with the bat. Kuldeep is on 17 of 72. He blocked very well to pass the 3rd session of Day 2.

Youngster Shoaib Bashir got a four fer already in expense of 84 runs in his 32 overs. Another spinner Tom Hartley got 2 wickets. Day 3 will be more tricky and India will hope to decrease the trail gap as much as possible.
